DIY Hair Treatment

Hello, I hope you are all having a nice weekend. It’s raining in Auckland which means I am snuggled up in my bed with a cup of tea (thanks for the Lemon tea, Krystal. It’s delicious).
During the colder months, my skin always suffers. It goes from being an oily mess to a dry mess. It’s really frustrating.
This year I have noticed even my scalp has been extra dry which means those awkward dry white flakes appear. You know what I’m talking about…. dandruff.
Dandruff seems to be a bit of a taboo word. No one likes talking about it or admitting that it is something they struggle with. This makes finding a solution really difficult!
I have been on a mission and have found a solution! It might not work for everyone, but it works for me.
You will need; 2tsp of Coconut Oil and your regular Shampoo and Conditioner.
Rub Coconut Oil between your hands until it forms into a runny oil. Apply all over your scalp (make sure your hair is dry), taking extra care to really massage it in.
Leave on for around 20-40 minutes. Wash off with warm water. This will take a while so it’s ideal to follow with your normal shampoo and conditioner to ensure you wash out as much as possible.
Your scalp will love you. Plus, the rest of your hair will look silky smooth. WIN.
xxx Hayley
