Get Your Sh*T Together Book Review

Hello beauties,
I've been reading like crazy recently - so many books so little time.
One of the books I absolutley loved this month was Sarah Knight's, 'Get Your Sh*t Together'.

"Ever find yourself snowed under at the office - or even just glued to the sofa - when you really want to get out (for once), get to the gym (at last), and get started on that daunting dream project you're always putting off? Then it's time to get your Sh*t together."

Sarah Knight is my new hero. In 'Get Your Sh*t Together' she focuses on tactically organising your life by prioritising the things you actually want to do - instead of mulling over all the things you feel like you 'have' to do. "Nobody needs to hear about how busy you are every hour of every fucking day. If you’re constantly bogged down by work and/or drudgery and never get to Bikram yoga/tap dancing, it’s time to manage your schedule differently. For one, sprinkle in “me time” as a reward for checking items off your must-do list."

This one really hit home for me as I feel like my friends and I are constantly saying, 'I'm so busy' or 'I don't have time' when we really DO have time, we just need to prioritise other things in our lives so we don't feel guilty.

Another thing Sarah touched on, was turning your pipe dreams into actual plans - in three steps. Strategise, focus, and commit. It's that easy. If you're constantly talking about wanting to do something but never actually doing it (like quitting your job, starting a new hobby or travelling), stop talking about it and simply do it. Sarah followed her three steps to quit her job and I'm proud to say, after talking about it for YEARS, I finally booked my month-long holiday to the UK. WIN.

If you think you need a little push to become the best person you can be and actually achieve all those pipe dreams, while also making better use of your time, I really, really, recommend checking out Sarah's book. It has honestly helped me get my Sh*t together.

RRP $34.99 at Paper Plus, Whitcoulls and all other good book stores.
