Gold Coast Haul

Hello beauties!
I hope you're all having a relaxing weekend.
I just got back from six days in the Gold Coast. It was so pretty and the weather was AMAZING. I am now a firm believer that you must take holidays - I hardly ever take them, but I'm so glad I did. I feel so much better mentally now.
I thought I'd share with you some of the goodies I bought. I didn't buy much because makeup isn't that much cheaper in Australia AND I'm saving for my holiday at the end of the year. MAC was quite a lot cheaper so could have gone crazy!

1. Zoeva Caramel Melange Eyeshadow Palette: I am obsessed with Zoeva Eyeshadows. They are so creamy and beautiful and I would shower my whole body in them if I could. (not even joking). The Caramel palette features a range of matte and shimmer shades which range from toffee to butterscotch to cinnamon - these colours are insane and I don't have anything like them in my collection. AUD RRP $35 from Sephora.

2. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle: If I had to pick my favourite highlight of all time, this would be it. The velvet-soft powder with a frosty metallic finish blends over the skin beautifully and gives the skin a stunning gold-glow. It lasts on the skin for hours and doesn't accentuate pores. Duty-Free RRP $34 AUD.

3. Smashbox Brow Tech To Go: I repurchased this as I couldn't think of using another brow product. I love this so much. One side has a waterproof pencil with an angled tip which makes it super easy to fill in your brows and the other side has a clear gel with a brush to help set the brows in place. I use the colour 'brunette' and it's the perfect match for my brows. RRP AUD $40.

4. MAC Fix+: The best setting spray in all the land. I love this to set my makeup. It helps my foundation lock in place all day, which is so essential during summer. I also love to use this on my eyeshadow brush to help build eyeshadow pigment. Dip your brush in  your eyeshadow and then spray the brush with Fix+ before applying to the lid. It's incredible. Duty-Free RRP $22.

5. Maybelline Master Fix spray: I've been wanting to try this since it came out, but it's $20 in New Zealand and I could never bring myself to buy it when Fix+ is only a couple dollars more. However, this was only AUD $8 so I had to pick it up. Side note: The Australian Chemists are SO good. I could spend hours in there. So far I'm really like this product. It does have a 'drugstore' smell to it which I don't really like, but it set my foundation beautifully and didn't feel tacky. I'll keep you updated.

6. Napoleon Perdis Audio Pilot Brightening Skin Primer: Another great chemist deal - I got this for only AUD $10! So far I'm really loving this. It does like look my skin has an extra 'glow' and my foundation blends well overtop. Not sure if this is as good as MAC's strobe cream, but it is a strong contender.

7. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer: After picking this up in Australia last year, I fell in love. I've been depressed ever since because we don't sell this on NZ. I, of course, had to pick up two of these and I've been falling in love all over again. The colour matches my skin perfectly, it blends beautifully on the skin, reduces dark circles and fine lines and stays on the skin ALL DAY. (over eight hours). I really, really, recommend picking this up. RRP AUD $12.

That's it! I am now on a no-buy for a few months while I  continue to test these products out. Have you bought anything new recently? I'd love to hear what you've been loving.

xxx Hayley
