Foundation Favourites

Hi beauties,
How are you? It was my birthday on Friday and I was spoilt by a few of my favourite people (what would we do without friends!?). I've spent the rest of my weekend relaxing and getting sh** done!
I often get comments about my skin and what foundation I use, so, today I thought I'd share my ultimate foundation favourites.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer: If you're after a full coverage foundation, this is the one for you. You can also use just as a concealer in areas where you need more coverage. The doe-foot applicator allows you to sweep the product on as a foundation or to spot around areas using the pointed tip.  I like to apply this using a buffing foundation brush but it also looks just as good blended out with your fingers or a beauty blender. The formula feels lightweight on the skin even when adding layers on top of the foundation to build up coverage. It sets to a semi-matte that doesn't look drying or dewy. Even though it is full coverage I usually 'bake' with my translucent powder just to keep any shine at bay and to prevent separation throughout the day. The shade range, however, is pretty crap - especially if you have fair skin like me. The lightest shade (Alabaster) is still a little too dark for me but it works well in summer when I have a bit of a tan.
RRP $65.00 available at all Clinique counters and Farmers stores.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation: I've spoken about this a lot recently because I am obsessed. I love the consistency of the Lancome foundation. It instantly blends into the skin and doesn't make my skin look flat. It looks radiant and fresh - like my skin but better. It has a velvety matte finish that wears beautifully throughout the day. The colour range is amazing. There are 28 shades to choose from in the collection (I'm 010).
RRP $72.00 available at Life Pharmacy and Farmers stores.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation: This is my ultimate holy grail foundation. I'd use it every single day if I didn't already have 20million other foundations to use. Don't be scared by the name. Nars Sheer Glow brightens and even the skin tone, whilst providing all day coverage with a natural and radiant finish. It's a medium foundation that can easily be built into a full coverage foundation without looking cakey. It's a water based formula so a little goes a long way. I like to use my buffing foundation brush for every day as I find it gives the foundation a very natural look.  It lasts on the skin well on its own but for maximum staying power I always use a primer. Available in 20 shades (I use Mont Blanc) there really is one for every skin tone.
RRP $74.00 available at Mecca.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation: If you're after an affordable foundation, that looks beautiful and dewy on the skin, this is the one for you. The Rimmel Lasting finish foundation blends well on the skin and easy build for a medium-full coverage finish. I really like wearing this during summer as it deals with sweat, heat, and humidity really well. It does transfer a little so I always set my face with a powder straight after I've applied the foundation to my skin. The shade range of pretty poor so if you don't have fair to medium skin tones you might struggle to find the right match.
RRP $22.99 available at Farmers.

What are your favourite foundations? I'd love to try your recommendations.

xxx Hayley
