March Favourites

Hello beauties!
I hope you're all having a good weekend. Daylight Saving just ended in NZ so we got an extra hour in bed this morning. If that's not the best possible way to start a Sunday morning, I don't know what is.
It's also officially April (my birthday month) so I'm feeling pretty good today. How are you spending your weekend?

Today I thought I'd share with you my March favourites. I reached for the same products over and over again during the month and I know I'll continue using them in April. Plus, I haven't done one of these in a while.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer: I have mentioned this a few times on the blog already. You can't buy this in NZ so I stocked up while I was in Australia. This is honestly the best concealer ever made. It's so creamy, blends beautifully and stays on the skin all day without creasing. It does have SPF 18 sunscreen in it so it's not the best when you're going to be taking a lot of photos, but I don't even care. This stuff is incredible.

MAC Lipsticks in Diva and Morange: MAC lipsticks are so friggen good. They have such a great colour collection, they feel super smooth on the skin and they layer really well. I love wearing Diva (reddish-burgundy colour) with gold eyeshadow and Morange looks SO beautiful with bronzed skin and lots of highlight. I really feel like I can take on the world whenever I wear these.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlight: This has fast become my most favourite highlight. It's a honey-hued luminizer that looks so stunning on the skin. It can look really natural if you put it on with a soft hand BUT when I wear highlight - I like it to look like I've been dipped in diamonds.

Colourpop Eyeshadows in Lovely and KathleenLights: These eyeshadows are what dreams are made of. If I had to only use one brand of eyeshadows for the rest of my life, Colourpop would be it. They are sooooooo beautiful. My heart actually leaps when I put these on my eyes in the morning. They blend so well and can transform your face to look like you've spent hours putting makeup on. I really, really, really recommend these shadows. Lovely (soft light gold with flecks of glitter) pairs with ANY lipstick and KathleenLights (warm copper) looks beautiful with a red lipstick. I am so obsessed.

MAC Blush in Life's a Picnic: This matte blush looks very intimidating its hot pink colour but it blends on the skin so nice. It pairs with any makeup look and lasts throughout the day. I wore this every single day in March.

The LadyGang Podcast: Hosted by Keltie Knight (ultimate girl crush), Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek, The LadyGang interview a celebrity every week and discuss all things Hollywood, sex, love and career advice. I look forward to Wednesday (Tuesday in the USA) mornings when a new podcast has been released and if you're not already listening - you need to download it right now.

Honourable mention:

Netflix's 13 Reasons Why: You guys. I binged watched this Friday and Saturday. Based off the book released in 2007 (which I was so obsessed with), 13 Reasons Why follows teenager Clay Jensen, in his quest to uncover the story behind his classmate and crush (Hannah Baker), and her decision to end her life. Hannah left thirteen tapes explaining the thirteen reasons why she killed herself, and Clay is on one of them along with some of his classmates. Each episode is focused on one of the tapes and a new story is uncovered every episode. I don't want to give too much away, but just know, I thought this show was incredible. One of the best I've seen in years.

xxx Hayley

  1. I adore Mary-Lou Manizer! It's been my favorite for the year, I think I'm gonna try the balm's bronzers next. Also need to go on a colourpop shopping spree soon...

  3. I loved 13 reasons why! It sounds bad to say it, but it was such an important project that needed to be made.
