Weekend Makeup Essentials

Hello beauties,
Happy Sunday! It's been super cold in Auckland over the last few days, it's AMAZING. I love winter and I'm so excited to start wearing winter PJs! It's the small things.
Yesterday I went for an amazing brunch with a group of #Girlbosses I met through a Facebook group. We sat around drinking mimosas and it was great. It's so important to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people and I'm determined to do more of this. For those brunch days, I like to wear minimal makeup, so today I thought I'd share with you my weekend makeup essentials.
  • I like to give my skin a little bit of a break during the weekend so I usually wear a lighter base. The Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation is great as it's super lightweight but still, gives you decent coverage.
  • As you know, I am obsessed with the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. It's just so beautiful and creamy and covers up any spots and imperfections. I also like to use this as a highlight under my eyes.
  • When I'm not wearing any eyeshadow, I like to make my lashes look as big as possible. The Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara is perfect for creating lush, long and fluttery lashes. It does a really good job at lifting each lash separately and coating them so they don't stick together. Plus, it's super black.
  • I have used the Kevin Aucoin The Neo-Bronzer every day since I got it. It's so easy to use and creates the most beautiful bronze, blush, and highlight in a matter of seconds. I really like that because this is already blended you don't have to spend long buffing it out on the skin. It's stunning.
  • Last but not least, lips. A bold lip is especially special on weekends. I've been obsessed with Tanya Burr's Matte Lip in the colour Martha Moo. It's a muted brown and dark pink colour that looks stunning on the lips. I also like to wear this with black winged liner.
I'd love to hear what your weekend makeup essentials are, let me know in the comments below.
xxx Hayley
