Empty Products Review

Hello beauties,
Happy Sunday!
I've been collecting all my empty products over the last few months as I thought you might like to read my full review for products I have completely used up. Grab a cup of tea and snuggle up...

Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray: I was so excited to find this product in Australia earlier this year. I had been wanting to find an affordable setting spray for a long time. I picked this up for AU $12 so I wasn't expecting amazing results, however, I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed this product. It's quick-drying and leaves the skin feeling smooth and fresh. I didn't see amazing results in terms of makeup longevity, but I did make my makeup look fresh and less cakey - especially when I'd gone overboard with powder and contour. If you have dry skin, I think you will really enjoy this product as it creates a nice base before makeup application as well. I'm not sure I will re-purchase this, as since I ran out I've gone back to my Fix + and I just love it so much. RRP $21.99. Available at Farmers and all other Maybelline stockists.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover: As you know, I LOVE Clinique products and they will always be my ultimate holy grail. The Take The Day Off Makeup Remover does such a great job at dissolving makeup - even that annoying waterproof mascara. It leaves the skin feeling soft, without an oil residue left on the skin. To take my eye makeup off I apply a small amount to a cotton pad and gently swipe across my eyelids. For the rest of my face, I apply a small amount to my hands and rub into my skin. It's so satisfying watching all my makeup dissolve in the sink. I will 100% re-purchase this. RRP $50.000 available at Farmers and all Clinique counters.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Rocket Washable Mascara: In terms of mascara, this isn't my favourite product in the world, but it does a pretty good job. It's super black and did make my lashes look bigger. I found after a few weeks it did start to dry out and clump together which made it super hard to apply to my lashes without them bunching together. I won't be repurchasing. RRP $14.00 available at Postie + and all Maybelline counters.

Hourglass Ambient Light Finishing Powder: I am obsessed with this powder. It brightens the skin while also blurring any imperfections. I loved applying this to my face to give my skin a soft, healthy glow. I found this helped my foundation stay on longer and it photographed beautifully. This is a luxury product at RRP $72.00 so I won't be repurchasing anytime soon (hello, Duty-Free)! Available at Mecca Cosmetica

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation: This has featured a lot on my blog as it has fast become my most favourite foundation - ever. It instantly blends into the skin and doesn't make my skin look flat. It looks radiant and fresh - like my skin but better. It has a velvety matte finish that wears beautifully throughout the day. The colour range is amazing. There are 28 shades to choose from in the collection (I'm 010). I found this works really well on my combination skin, it hydrates in the areas I need, yet doesn't look shiny in my T-zone. RRP $72.00 available at Life Pharmacy and Farmers stores.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation: My second favourite foundation, Nars Sheer Glow brightens and evens out the skin tone, whilst providing all day coverage with a natural and radiant finish. It's a medium foundation that can easily be built into a full coverage foundation without looking cakey. It's a water based formula so a little goes a long way. I like to use my buffing foundation brush for every day as I find it gives the foundation a very natural look.  It lasts on the skin well on its own but for maximum staying power I always use a primer. Available in 20 shades (I use Mont Blanc) there really is one for every skin tone. I have repurchased this foundation about seven times. I always like to have one on hand as I know I can trust it. RRP $74.00 available at Mecca.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: I LOVE this concealer which is why I have two empties! Rimmel have a fantastic range of shades, it's creamy and blends really well. It lasts on the skin for around six hours without any touch ups. I keep this in my handbag during the day and find it can transform your makeup in seconds. It does crease under the eyes, but if you apply a translucent powder, it helps set it in place. I already have this on my repurchase list. RRP $18.99. Available at Farmers and all Rimmel stockists.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer: I have mentioned this a few times on the blog already. You can't buy this in NZ so I stocked up while I was in Australia and I'm so sad to say that this was the last one! (someone please send me another one, stat!) This is honestly the best concealer ever made. It's so creamy, blends beautifully and stays on the skin all day without creasing. It does have SPF 18 sunscreen in it so it's not the best when you're going to be taking a lot of photos, but I don't even care. This stuff is incredible.

Burt's Bees Lip Balm: I am so obsessed with lip balm. I always have one around me, whether it's on my desk, bedside table or handbag, wherever I am, there is always lip balm next to me. I really enjoyed the Burt's Bees Lip Balm in 'Honey' flavour. It smelt amazing, glided on the lips and also tasted really good. I found it didn't last on the lips for ages, but it was really enjoyable to reapply throughout the day. RRP $8.90.

Blistex Lip Conditioner: I LOVE this lip conditioner. Not only does it protect the lips from sun, wind AND cold, it relieves chapped lips, has SPF 15 and just feels amazing on the lips. I like to use this before bed as well and I find I wake up with smooth lips. I already have two of these tucked away in the travel bag for my trip later in the year. RRP $8.99.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White: This is the most amazing perfume of all time. The scent is a combination of peony, chic Muguet, and tender musk. It's so beautiful and I feel like a goddess every time I wear it. Unfortunately, you can't purchase this in NZ so everytime I head over to Australia I always pick up a rollerball from Sephora (hint: this is why I have two empties). Luckily, my mum is AMAZING and purchased the full-size for me while she was in New York. Now I never have to be without my favourite scent. I will repurchase this forever and ever and ever.

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to know what you think and if you have any products you want me to try.

xxx Hayley
